As part of the project of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the UN-GEF development program on Standards, Certification and Labeling of Energy Efficiency of Electrical Household Appliances and Equipment in Kazakhstan, two new laboratories for electric motors and transformers have been opened in the Kazakh-German Polytechnic College of Kentau Transformer Plant (with eight training simulators).Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, regional and city akimats, K.A. Yassawi International Kazakh-Turkish University, Alageum Electric Group of Companies and Kentau Transformer Plant attended the opening ceremony. Equipping the college with modern training simulators will allow students to have practical training courses in electrical engineering, electromechanics and electric power, and learn how to measure the efficiency of transformers and asynchronous electric motors. Guests and media journalists took part in tour guided by students explaining how to increase the efficiency of electric machines, transformers and relay protection and automation. The aim of the project is to transform the Kazakhstan market towards energy-efficient tools and equipment in order to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions."The effectiveness of training increases when theory and practice are being combined. Without practice, there will be no profound knowledge. Students should be able to observe and work with vehicles. For example, it is impossible to imagine the study of such a science as robotics without operating equipment, the ability to disassemble the tool and study its sections", said Baurzhan Khudaybergenov, Director of the Technical Department of Alageum Electric, at the opening ceremony.
