Alageum Electric is a leading electrical engineering company in Kazakhstan, comprising more than 30 large enterprises and plants successfully operating in power engineering, electrical machine building and construction of energy facilities. The company brings together an entire industrial complex — from design and manufacturing of transformer equipment, switchgear and low-voltage devices to installation, commissioning and after-sales service.
Today the Alageum Electric group of companies is the largest manufacturer of transformer equipment in Central Asia. Its products are supplied to all sectors of the economy — electric power, oil and gas, metallurgy, mining, transport, agriculture, construction and utilities. Among the company's clients are Kazatomprom, Samruk-Kazyna, Kazakhmys, Kazakhstan Railways (KTZ), ERG, Tengizchevroil, CNPC, BI Group and many other major industrial enterprises of Kazakhstan and the CIS.
The history of the company began in 1996. Over nearly three decades, Alageum Electric has gone from a small trading firm to a vertically integrated industrial holding employing more than 5,000 specialists. Today the group includes flagship plants — JSC Kentau Transformer Plant, Asia Trafo LLP, JSC Electromontazh (ELMO), the Almaty Electromechanical Plant (AEMZ), the Ural Transformer Plant (UTZ), the Aktau Transformer Plant and the Petropavlovsk Electrotechnical Plant.
Strategic priorities of the company are: continuous modernization of production, mastering the manufacture of high-voltage transformers (up to 500 kV), localizing technologies in Kazakhstan, expanding exports to neighbouring countries, and training engineering personnel in cooperation with technical universities. Alageum Electric is a long-standing partner of the State Programme for Industrial and Innovative Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
